BayCare Clinic Foundation remains committed to promoting health and well-being within
our community. To close out 2024, we have empowered mentors for youth mental health
and invested in the future of healthcare.
Empowering Mentors for Youth Mental Health
BayCare Clinic Foundation is proud to contribute $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of
Northeast Wisconsin (BBBS) in support of their Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
project. The goal of this project is to equip mentors (Bigs) and families with the skills to
identify and respond to mental health challenges. By certifying mentors in Youth Mental
Health First Aid (YMHFA), BBBS creates a supportive environment for at-risk youth, helping
to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and substance use.
Investing in the Future of Healthcare
BayCare Clinic Foundation proudly supports the next generation of healthcare
professionals through the Christopher Sorrells & Aurora BayCare Medical Center
Emergency Medical Services Scholarship. This scholarship provides vital financial support
to students enrolled in EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic programs at Northeast
Wisconsin Technical College and Lakeshore Technical College.
Please join us in congratulating this year’s recipients: Wanda Mencel, Riley Simons, and
Samantha Verhagen.
Building a Healthier Community
By supporting youth mental health and investing in healthcare education, BayCare Clinic
Foundation helps create a stronger, healthier community. We are proud to support these
initiatives and look forward to seeing them make a lasting impact.
