A Green Bay area native, Dr. Bestul is excited to provide care in the community where she grew up. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, and is seeing patients at BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists - Green Bay.
Dr. Bestul was drawn to optometry because of the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and their families.
"One of the things I love most about being an optometrist is developing lifelong connections with my patients," said Dr. Bestul. "I enjoy getting to know them and their families over the years, while helping them maintain their eye health and vision."
Her approach to patient care centers on listening, education, and partnership. Dr. Bestul believes patients deserve to feel heard and understood, and she takes time to ensure they have a clear understanding of their eye health and treatment options.
"I want my patients to feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their care," she said. "I spend a lot of time educating patients so they can make informed decisions about their eye health."
Dr. Bestul also believes that being a well-rounded person outside of work helps her provide better care in the exam room.
"Patients appreciate seeing your personality, and I enjoy bringing my authentic self to every interaction," she said. "Building genuine connections helps create a positive experience and allows me to provide the best care possible."
