About Christopher M. Whelan, MD

Christopher M. Whelan, MD, is a urological surgeon with Aurora BayCare Urological Surgeons in Green Bay and Manitowoc, Wisconsin.  

Dr. Whelan earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL, where he also completed his residency in Urology. Additionally, he pursued a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center known for its advanced robotic surgery and cancer research.  

He has performed over 500 robotic surgical procedures for prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. Dr. Whelan's work has been published in numerous scientific journals, and he has received national awards for his extensive research on prostate and kidney cancer.
